Surveying Technician

Starting salary £28,495pa with potential progression to £31,649pa on achieving designated skills and experience
37 hours per week (hybrid working)
At the heart of every helpdesk is an organised and efficient team player. In this key role, you will be responsible for assisting the Building Services Team who manage the day to day running of the council’s operational, commercial and community property portfolio.
Through the Helpdesk, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming maintenance requests and general queries. You will need a developed understanding of works allocation as well as the ability to ensure accurate records are maintained on our databases.
As part of the surveying team, you will ensure that all works are carried out in line with all relevant legislation, approved codes of practice and regulations.
In this role you must have an eye for detail, have excellent customer service skills and be a confident and effective communicator. You will take responsibility for providing technical support, escalating technical works, and coordinating with the relevant contractor to carry out the repairs required. You will be adept at switching priorities and delivering work to defined deadlines.
