Starting salary £32,056pa with potential progression to £38,667pa on achieving designated skills and experience 

37 hours per week (hybrid working)

Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council are committed to becoming the best planning authority in Hertfordshire. To achieve this, we’re seeking a driven and ambitious individual, who really want to leave their mark on the borough. As part of this vision, we currently have an excellent opportunity for a Planning Obligations and Community Infrastructure Levy Officer.

In this role, you’ll enjoy the challenge of working alongside a small but busy team. You will be a key contact for discussions around the negotiation of section 106 agreements, as well as the monitoring and collection of monies due.

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication and project management skills and be able to work in an ordered and logical way. Along with experience of town planning work, you will need a working knowledge of planning legislation. A good eye for detail, and the ability to understand and assess complex information is essential in this role. You will also need a full driving licence and access to a car.

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public, developers and council officers, and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
