Starting salary £50,696pa with progression to £53,953pa through annual increments subject to satisfactory service (inclusive of outer fringe allowance)

37 hours per week (hybrid working)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join to our Property Maintenance team.

Are you a building professional with demonstrable experience of managing multiple workstreams including the delivery of small to very large building projects?

Do you have experience in managing budgets, understand programmes, asset management and have the ability to challenge, and adapt to new ways of working?

About the role:
As Planned Works Project Manager within our Property Maintenance team, you will lead the delivery of the Council’s housing capital, planned, and major works programmes.

This includes managing commercial and contractual aspects of the service, developing strong partnering relationships, and driving organisational change.

Leading and managing a dedicated team, you’ll set high standards for performance in asset management contracts, as well as regeneration and stock investment projects.

This role requires a presence on-site at least two days a week, with more frequent visits during the induction period.

About you:
We’re seeking a customer focussed individual with a professional qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience. You should have substantial experience at a senior level in property services, including staff management. 

Strong project management skills are essential as is experience of working within social housing. You must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the statutory regulations relating to construction / building. We are looking for an exceptional communicator.

Your strategic approach and innovative ideas will help us continually improve our services.

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.

You will have a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
