Starting salary £28,495pa with potential progression to £31,649pa on achieving designated skills and experience
37 hours per week (hybrid working)
A rare opportunity has arisen for an Information Governance Officer to join our team.
Reporting to the Governance and Policy Officer, you will be responsible for or coordinating compliance activities in relation to information governance across the council, providing guidance to officers and elected members.
As the council’s lead for freedom of information/access to environmental information, you will be required to evaluate statutory requests and personally make decisions on whether to release or refuse to release information.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join an experienced team to further develop your governance skills.
Your primary role is to support the Council’s governance and facilitate compliance. You will act as a source of data protection advice and guidance to all staff and elected members.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has previously worked in a governance or data protection role. You will need excellent time management skills and be able to prioritise several conflicting priorities to meet deadlines. With excellent attention to detail, you must be able to develop good working relationships with both staff and elected members. This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
