Starting salary £26,701pa with potential progression to £27,118pa on achieving designated skills and experience
37 hours per week (hybrid working)
Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council owns and manages more than 10,000 social rented and leaseholder homes and we have ambitions to do more.
Our aim is to make it easy for residents to access our services and we want to provide assistance and support to tenants in the right place, at the right time. We know that this is a challenging time for many households and our new approach to service delivery reflects this.
This is a key role, and it will be up to you to provide a proactive, comprehensive and high-quality housing accounts administration support service for the housing transactions and leasehold teams.
You’ll deliver our promise of being a high-quality landlord through efficient administration of our tenant and leaseholder accounts that supports the Home Ownership and Rent Transaction Teams through high quality administrative and technical support, taking the lead on allocated administrative processes as necessary.
We are looking for someone who has
- Previous experience of working in administration or an accounts environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle face-to-face and telephone queries
- The ability to prioritise tasks to meet competing deadlines and be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
