Starting salary £28,495pa with potential progression to £31,649pa on achieving designated skills and experience (pay award pending)

37 hours a week (Hybrid Working)

Our aim is to make it easy for residents to access our services and we want to provide assistance and support to tenants in the right place, at the right time.  We know that this is a challenging time for many households and our new approach to service delivery reflects this. 

This is a key role it will be up to you to provide a customer focussed, proactive and high-quality service with a focus on recovering garage debts associated with a former or current garage tenancy. You will manage debt accounts and ensure action is taken to recover income. Liaising with customers and debt collection agencies you will ensure income is maximised and cases are resolved quickly.

To be successful, you will need experience of working in a debt collection environment, have good numerical and decision-making skills along with excellent IT skills. You’ll deliver our promise of being a high-quality landlord, maximising our income by ensuring our sundry debt and former tenant arrears accounts are administered and managed effectively. You’ll need to work collaborative with other council departments as well as using initiative to make decisions on appropriate recovery actions and being empowered develop and shape this new role to deliver excellence.

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
