Starting salary £43,378 to £46,577 through annual increments subject to satisfactory service (inclusive of outer fringe allowance)

37 hours per week (hybrid)

The role:
As our Compliance Officer (Gas and Water Hygiene), you will take a lead role in managing all aspects of Gas safety compliance to around 9000 properties, managing the replacement of around 300 heating systems annually, and monitoring and managing Water safety and Hygiene work.

Managing a range of contractors, you will oversee small, medium and large scale projects putting the customer’s needs at the heart of all of your projects. Health and Safety must be in the forefront of what you do. Equally, you will ensure policies are adhered to throughout the service and have experience of producing and interpreting KPI's to drive continuous improvements across the contracts.

The ability to converse with ease with other staff and members of the public and to provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for this post.

You will have a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle to travel around the borough.

The role is hybrid with the expectation of office attendance at least three days a week, and to also attend meetings and training. This will be more frequent during your training period. The role will include occasional working outside of office hours.

About you:
It is essential you have relevant technical knowledge and have experience in managing contracts. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strategic approach to work and the skills to introduce new ideas and working practices. You will need an understanding of managing budgets but most of all the desire to drive improvements, deliver high levels of contractor performance and to help ensure all properties are compliant.

Ideally you will have formal qualification in Gas Safety and Legionella, but we value practical experience just as highly. If you have built your career on-site and are ready to apply that knowledge in a new way, this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop a long-term professional career.
